It is known as GVONavi and is a sort of GPS that runs alongside UWO. Simply load it up, perhaps a bit of tinkering is needed, it has been some time since I have begun it myself, but all in all, it should load up a rather detailed map of the known UWO world. In order to use this program one must have the 'Survey' skill and have it in constant use when wishing to track one's movement. The program will have an arrow depicting you, as well as a line that is drawn in your wake showing where you have been, as well as a line that is purple at first then grows pink extending out in front of you as you settle into a straight path. To erase previous travel lines simply right-click on the program's window and hit 'Reset'. It will erase old lines and continue with new ones.

For those want might not want to use the GVONavi, you can save a copy of the map below and use it. It has landing points and sea currents as well.
GVO Navi has not been working due to X-Trap. Simply threw me out of the game!
